About Resorts Depot
It started with penthouse tours.
The story
When I was 20, maybe just turned 21, my friends and I had a thing. We’d drive to the nicest parts of Houston and tour the most expensive penthouses we could get into.
We weren't planning on buying anything. We were rehearsing: faking it 'til you make it, playing the part, manifesting, whatever you want to call it. We wanted to know what it felt like to walk into a place like that and picture moving in. We believed seeing something in person does more for you than thinking about it or watching videos through a screen.
One of those days we ended up at Aspire Post Oak in Uptown. I was amazed, and it felt close, even though I was nowhere near making that jump. The building was brand new and already filling up, just like the others we toured. The people living there looked totally normal. That experience helped me see that if so many others could make it to that lifestyle, so could I.
I’d already told my friends about a business idea: a dropshipping store. I’d found the model but hadn’t figured out what to sell.
That day at Aspire, the leasing agent showed us the pool area. There was a planter almost as tall as us, with a huge palm tree in it. My friend looked at it and joked,
“Look bro, maybe you can dropship this.”
We laughed, but later that day in my head, I was seriously considering it.
That night I searched commercial planters, and it turned into a rabbit hole. I went through the photo galleries of the buildings we'd toured, looking at what the amenity spaces were made of. That's how daybeds, cabanas, and pool loungers ended up on the list. When I shared the idea, a few people didn't get it. "What do pool lounge chairs have to do with planters?" I had to explain that it wasn't about the items. It was about the feeling I had seeing those buildings for the first time.
It was also about who I wanted my customers to be. People who are finally splurging after years of hard work. I love my customers. I've spoken with many of you on the phone for hours, just listening to your stories.
Resorts Depot is that day, that feeling, and those dreams turned into a store.

Who we're for
That list never really stopped growing, but the idea behind it hasn't changed. The people we sell to are a lot like I was that day. They had a picture in their head of a space they wanted to live in, and now they're actually building it. Maybe it took years of work to get there. Maybe it's the first place that's really theirs. They want it to be the kind of space that gives anyone who walks in the same feeling I had at Aspire. We carry what makes those spaces feel finished.
How we operate
Why trust comes first
One of the first things I learned after launching in 2023: if I’m going to ask people to spend this kind of money, trust has to be the foundation. And a lot of that trust comes down to our values and how we operate. We aren’t selling small items that you can buy and forget about before they get to your door. People really do research on these products, consider them for a while, and are really excited to have them. So we run things a certain way.
You can reach a real person.
I am strongly against bots handling our customer interactions for us. Call (888) 883-7568 or email us any day, 8 AM to 8 PM CT. No answering machines, no AI support.
As we grow, anyone who answers that phone will be someone I trust with the dream I had years ago.
Straight pricing.
We price at the lowest advertised price each brand allows, so we’re not charging more than we have to. Our Price Beat Promise backs that up: we match authorized US dealers before you buy, and if you find a lower price after you purchase, we’ll still honor the policy and beat it by 2%.
Our policy pages are written to be read, with nothing buried in the fine print. And in most cases, the price you see on the page is the same price you’ll see at checkout, because standard shipping is free and we aren’t obligated to charge sales tax in most states (only our home state of TX at the time of writing this).
We tell you what we know.
If something is out of stock or has a long lead time, you hear it from us before you pay, not after.
If something arrives damaged, you’re not on your own.
Our products usually ship directly from their manufacturers. And we only work with manufacturers who agree with us that the risk of transit damage shouldn’t fall on the person who’s already taking a risk buying their product from our store.
Before partnering, I ask them what happens when an order shows up damaged. Every brand we carry has told me they’ll make it right. Depending on the situation, that might mean a replacement, a return label, a discount to keep the item, or something else. Tell us right away with photos and we’ll handle it with the brand so you don’t have to chase anyone.
We stay in touch even after you buy.
You’ll have several ways to reach us after your order, and we follow up. We don’t disappear once you’ve paid, but at the same time we don’t flood your inbox with spam you didn’t ask for.
Our reviews are public.
The good, the bad, and the ugly are all on our customer reviews page. We understand that nothing is perfect, so we don’t pretend to be. Subconsciously, no one would trust it anyway.
It’s important to us to own our mistakes and not try to control your perception of us after you’ve had your own firsthand experience. No genuine store or product review will ever be wiped from our history.
We’re an authorized dealer for every brand we carry.
That means every product you buy is genuine and fully backed by the manufacturer’s warranty. No knock offs or dupes. And we’re picky about the brands we work with, because their reliability becomes yours.
The rest of it
There’s a lot more to it. Trust is built over time, with more orders, more feedback, more fixes, and by us doing all the little things.
Without it, we wouldn’t feel like we deserved to take your money. You all have been good to us, and we’ll make sure we keep building on each experience to make the next one better.
