Very comfortable and appreciate the weight to adjust the height.
White Granite / 12" Riser
Very happy with the products and getting different size risers was a good idea. Easy to place in the pool and easy to remove from pool. Loungers are also very comfortable.
We were looking for options to provide some additional shade on our pool deck which gets extremely hot in the summer here in the Myrtle Beach area. We looked at sun sails and cantilever umbrellas. We found Shadowspec from a ChatGPT recommendation. Some googling brought me to Resort Depot. I had some questions and started a chat with Roy. He answered all my questions promptly and we placed the order. The Serenity came within a week and we are thrilled. Assembly was not at all difficult but it is a two person job. We’ve had it for less than a week but the area under the umbrella is literally 25-30 degrees lower measured on the pavers. My Goldendoodle Oso very much appreciates that. After assembly I had a question about an adjustment and Roy quickly replied and it was super easy. I’d highly recommend the Shadowspec Serenity and Resort Depot.

I was searching for a quality wall mounted umbrella for my home deck and have always appreciated the durability and craftsmanship of commercial grade products. Although very pricey, I believe it's worth the investment. This umbrella was on sale with an additional 10% off of first purchase. The umbrella was delivered within one week, perfectly packaged in one box. The instructions were clear, however, it took me much longer to install than suggested. Wall bolts specifications are listed in the instructions, but not included. Therefore, I had to go to the hardware store to find the bolts along with a hammer drill. The specs are metric so I had to do conversions to find equivalents. Once I had the umbrella installed, it works great. However, they recommend the wall mount be installed at 7'2". This places the release pin at that height. At 5'4", I need to stand on my toes to reach it.
Wow Cynthia! thank you for taking the time to write this review and for including your photos. Your color choice looks fantastic on that deck, and reviews this detailed are genuinely useful to the next person shopping for this umbrella.
I want to give you the full picture on the two things that gave you trouble.
The mounting bolts aren't included because the Retreat's bracket is designed to work on brick, concrete, or solid timber walls, and each of those needs a different bolt size and depth to anchor safely. That's why the specs call for hardware up to 8mm rather than a bolt kit in the box, and I know that meant an extra trip to the hardware store plus converting from metric. That's a fair amount of extra work on your end and I appreciate you pushing through it.
On the height, Shadowspec recommends 7'2' so the canopy edge sits around 7'1' and the center hub around 6'7', which keeps it clear for anyone walking underneath. That said, it's just a starting recommendation and not a fixed rule. If you'd like the release pin easier to reach, you can remount the bracket a few inches lower, as long as the canopy still leaves room for people to walk underneath it and anything like a gutter above.
Thanks again for such an amazing review and photos, Cynthia. If you'd like a hand figuring out the right height for a remount, just reply here or call us at (888) 883-7568.

Although this umbrella is absolutely perfect in functionality for the space I have and seems to be made of solid materials and well as easy to operate, there is one thing. The gas piston that came with the umbrella to help open close it as part of the design was broken. Customer service is in the process of helping but seem to be taking there time sending me a new one leaving me hanging not sure if the part will come in time for the parties this umbrella was ordered for.
Salvatore, thank you for the kind words about the umbrella and our team. This is the first the replacement part issue has reached me directly, and now that it has, I'm personally on it. I'll be in touch today to get the details and drive it to a faster resolution with you. Anything you need in the meantime, you can reach me directly anytime.

We recently purchased pool loungers from Resorts Depot and were extremely impressed with the entire experience from start to finish. Shortly after placing our order, their team personally called to thank us and, more importantly, to verify the depth of our pool ledge to ensure we were ordering the correct product and would be completely satisfied. That level of professionalism and attention to detail is rare today.
The loungers arrived and we are very happy with the quality and design. One of the things we love most is that these loungers actually include armrests and a built-in space to hold a drink, features that many other pool loungers on the market do not offer. They are both comfortable and functional.
The customer service was outstanding, and the product absolutely lived up to expectations. In fact, several of our friends were so impressed after seeing them that they are now purchasing from Resorts Depot as well.
Highly recommend Resorts Depot for both their excellent products and exceptional customer service.
Great service and a great product
Got these in gray granite and everything was smooth. I was in between a lot of choices but this one stood out just because I thought it would look the best in and out of the water. Plus my tanning ledge is 16 inches deep so this was one of the only options. I had to add some weights to the order to make it work and they work exactly as intended.
I was very happy with the service, the constant updates, the follow up call to make sure I was still enjoying everything, and the delivery service. Guys called ahead of time to ask when they should come and when they got here the boxes were in perfect shape.
Really happy with how this looks. I work from home, and I moved around my desk set up to have this in the background. It looks really good right behind me. Resorts Depot really earned my business with just how helpful Roy was.
I have never experienced such great service when shopping online. I had really tight constraints and was getting to be frustrated with how my contractors set up this wall, especially with them knowing I had plans to put a fireplace there. I was overwhelmed, but Resorts Depot took over and sent me two options that had everything I was looking for. I needed something that wasn't going to be too big for my wall since it isn't very deep, it needed to be at least 60 inches so that it doesn't look small below the TV, and it needed to have the reflective back glass and just look realistic. Resorts Depot created an entire web page just for me with 2 great options when I thought I had NONE. I went with this one because it's the brand new version and the old one already had good reviews everywhere online.
I can't say thank you enough. I really didn't have the time to go looking for something that could fit my specs so neatly and I was getting annoyed with my contractor. I wouldn't recommend him but I would definitely recommend Resorts Depot!!!
I absolutely LOVE my new loungers. They are comfortable and look amazing on my Baja step in the pool.
Roy was AWESOME! He went above and beyond. Top notch customer service.
I would recommend him and your company without hesitation.
Very happy with the quality, they look very realistic especially at a distance. I look out my window at the pool and the greenery just looks so good in the sun now!
