These wall switches are rated at 20 amps per switch and not all heating appliances can be controlled by one switch. It is up to a certified electrician to determine use cases. For example, a 6000W Tungsten heating appliance has two 3000W elements and will be able to have individual element control for power variability.

All Tungsten and Platinum models in both gas and electric are compatible.

Are the wall switch kits surface mount or in-wall?

The indoor wall switch kit is in-wall and the outdoor wall switch kit is surface mounted.
