The 26" model gives you a 22-7/16" × 17-1/16" viewing window — tall enough that the flames have real presence rather than a thin band of light. The internally lit driftwood log set plugs into the ember bed and sits exactly where real logs would, with reflective black crushed glass layered around it. Adaptive brightness reads ambient light in the room and adjusts the flame display automatically. At noon with the lights up, it holds its own. At dinner service with lights dimmed, it commands the space.

Control happens through the Modern Flames+ app, the included remote, built-in touch controls on the unit, or by voice through Alexa or Google Home. Over-the-air updates deliver new flame styles and content directly through the app — the same way a phone receives a software update — so the fireplace doesn't become dated after two years on the wall.
