The Full Picture

Once the Modern Flames Redstone 42 is in, a press of the remote lights the logs and starts the flames. Turn the heater off and the flames keep going, so it works in July as well as January.

Change the flame color, switch the ember bed to another color, or turn the log lights off.

Who It's For

Homeowners with an old wood burning fireplace can use it as an insert. Builders and remodelers can frame a wall opening for it and have an electrician hardwire it. In a rental or guest property, guests run it from the remote or the touch panel. It is for indoor rooms only.

How the Hybrid-FX Flames Work

Hybrid-FX makes the flame with LED lighting, not a video screen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I put it in my existing wood burning fireplace?
Yes, it slides into an existing zero clearance wood burning fireplace and is held in place by gravity and friction, with no screws. An electrician installs an outlet inside the fireplace for the power cord. No extra wide trim kit is made for the 42.
Does it give off real heat?
The 5,000 BTU heater gives supplemental zone heating for up to 500 sq ft, and it is not meant to be a primary heat source. It only runs while the flame is on.
How is it different from the Orion 42" Traditional?
The Orion V2 42" Traditional uses LCD virtual video flames with crackling sound, Wi-Fi app control and three flame styles. The Redstone 42 electric fireplace uses Hybrid-FX LED flames with 10 color presets and runs from the remote and touch panel.
