Put a Modern Flames Spectrum Slimline 74 in the Wall and Tile Right Up to the Trim

The Spectrum Slimline 74 recesses into a framed 2x4 wall, with a 5/8 inch trim so tile or hardwood can finish right up to the opening. If you'd rather not open the wall, it hangs on the bracket that comes in the box. Either way, you get 70 inches of flames across the wall.

The Full Picture

The Spectrum Slimline 74 is 4 5/8" deep overall. It measures 73 3/4" wide by 17" high, and the flames fill a 70" by 12" viewing area, so they run across nearly the full width of the unit.

Recessed, it goes into a framed opening 72 7/8" wide, 16 1/4" high and at least 4" deep. Wall mounted, it hooks onto the bracket that ships fixed to the back of the unit.

Who It's For

Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hotel rooms and rental units where there's wall for a long fireplace but not much depth. Homeowners get a 74 inch electric fireplace in a standard stud wall, and rental and hotel owners can plug it in or have an electrician hardwire it. It is rated for indoor use only and gives supplemental heat, not primary heat.

How the Hybrid-FX Flames Work

The flames are Hybrid-FX LED light, not a video screen, so you get bright, adjustable color rather than recorded fire. Three controls shape the look:

  • Flame colors: 10 colors plus a fade mode that cycles through them, with memory.
  • Ember bed colors: Set separately from the flames, from 10 colors or a fade mode.
  • Speed and brightness: 3 flame speeds, with 5 brightness levels each for flames and ember bed.
