Slide the Redstone 30 into your old fireplace, plug it into an outlet your electrician installs inside, and set the feet to the height you want. It stays put by gravity and friction, so there are no screws to drive. The firebox that sat empty is now a fireplace you start from the remote.

In a new wall framed for it, the Redstone installs as a built in unit and can go beneath a TV.

How the Flames Work

Hybrid-FX is the LED flame technology Modern Flames uses across several of its lines. Three lights work together behind the glass, and each one takes its color from the remote:

• Flames: Ten colors plus a fade mode, with four flame speeds to choose from.
• Ember bed: Glacier crystals glow in a color you set apart from the flames, and the logs light up too.
• Downlight: A third light adds one more color to the mix.

Who It's For

Ideal for homeowners with an unused wood burning fireplace who want a 30 inch electric fireplace insert, and for anyone framing a new wall for a built in fireplace. At 29-1/4 inches wide, it fits a smaller opening than the Redstone 36. Boutique hotel, B&B and Airbnb owners can put one in a guest lounge or room, where the timer shuts it off on its own. It is for indoor use only.

Included with Your Redstone 30

• Fireplace: Redstone 30 with 5/8" trim already attached
• 1-5/8" trim kit: Four thicker trim pieces. Either trim can be installed.
• Remote control: Battery powered, with one CR2025 battery included
• Driftwood logs and crystals: Log set and small glacier crystals for the ember bed
• Power cord and plug: Supplied for insert installs. An electrician removes it to hardwire.
• Hardware and manual: Screws, four screw covers, hardware kit and manual

Optional Accessories (Sold Separately)

• Surround Trim Kit for Redstone 30": Small 5" (TK-RS30-3824) or large 8" (TK-RS30-4427). Each comes with two bottom pieces, and the thin one suits a low clearance hearth.
• TruWood Premium Timber Kit, 26"-30" Large: Replaces the included driftwood logs with heat treated real wood logs that have natural bark and charring (TWL-26/30-SP).
