Ledge Lounger Review: Is It Worth the Price?
A Ledge Lounger is worth the price when the water on your sun shelf fits one of its models and you want furniture that lives in the pool. Ledge Lounger makes its in pool pieces to stay in the water, and it warrants them not to splinter, crack, chip, peel or rot for 15 years for residential use and 10 years for commercial use.
The trade offs some owners raise in Ledge Lounger reviews are the weight once a lounger is full and scale on the resin, and the warranty excludes fading. We sell Ledge Lounger as an authorized dealer, and this review sticks to what the brand's own documents say. Shop its in pool chaises and chairs in our in pool furniture collection.
What Is a Ledge Lounger?
Ledge Lounger is the brand behind a line of furniture made to sit in the water on a pool's tanning ledge or sun shelf. Founder Christopher Anderson created the first Ledge collection in 2011, and the brand's own story quotes him on where it started: "Tanning ledges were becoming popular in pools, but there was nothing to put on them."
The in pool pieces hold their spot on the ledge with the weight of the water inside them. Ledge Lounger says you'll find its Signature Chaise at high end resorts, hotels and cruise liners.
Are Ledge Loungers Worth It?
Start with the warranty, since it's the part of the price you can read in writing. Ledge Lounger's warranty guarantees its in pool furniture to be free from material defects for 15 years of residential use or 10 years of commercial use.
The resin is next. Ledge Lounger rates the Signature Chaise for 20,000 hours of direct sunlight, and its materials page says the furniture is built for any pool and any water type, saltwater and vinyl liners included.
| Term | What Ledge Lounger says |
|---|---|
| Residential use | Free from material defects, and will not splinter, crack, chip, peel or rot for 15 years |
| Commercial use | The same coverage for 10 years |
| Fading | Not covered. The products are made to be UV resistant to reduce fading, but color will fade to a degree in the sun |
| Wear and use | Not covered: ordinary wear and tear, abuse, neglect, mishandling or abnormal use |
| Pool chemicals | Not covered: an improper balance of chemicals in the water the products sit in |
| Red and orange | Per Ledge Lounger's FAQ, these two resin colors are not warrantied for in pool use |
| Making a claim | Contact Ledge Lounger's customer service with your name, invoice number, contact information, pictures and a description of the defect |
Read the exclusions before you choose a color, because red and orange don't carry the in pool warranty.

What Do Owners Complain About in Ledge Lounger Reviews?
Some owners in pool owner groups complain about stains and scale on the resin, how heavy the loungers get, and comfort.
Scale and stains. Ledge Lounger's FAQ notes that scale and other residues, like sunscreen and lotion, can stick to its resin. It says the thin white layer comes off with some elbow grease and the proper cleaners.
Its care steps start with plain water and a soft bristle brush or cloth, then a mild household cleaner. For a deeper clean, take the chaise out of the pool and use the cleaner with an eraser sponge. Calcium buildup gets a calcium removal product.
Weight. Full of water, the Signature Chair weighs 133 lbs, the Signature Chaise 144 lbs, the Autograph Chaise 251 lbs and the Signature Chaise Deep 270 lbs. If you plan to take yours out of the pool, our TenJam vs Ledge Lounger comparison covers what that takes.
Comfort. Opinions are mixed, and some owners find the loungers too hard.
How Much Do Ledge Loungers Cost?
The price depends on the model. Current prices show in the product cards in this review.
Options add to the total. For the Signature Chaise, Ledge Lounger sells headrest pillows, armrest consoles and shades as add ons, and it offers bundles that pair the chaise with side tables or more chaises.
When you compare totals, set them against the warranty terms above.
